Barrier Island Parks Society’s Mission

We are a highly focused, compassionate group who feel strongly about history and our environment. We have found the key to preservation and conservation is having an open mind. We are grateful to our members, business partners and collaborators for their support in education and outreach—a vehicle for open minds. We know by this concerted effort our parks and history will be protected for generations to come, and for that, we will always be grateful.

Barrier Island Parks Society’s mission is to preserve, conserve and support the natural assets, lighthouses, and history of our island state parks through education and collaboration.
