Cayo Costa State Park

A Florida treasure, Cayo Costa State Park is one of the last remaining barrier islands that can take you back to the real Florida of years past.  The island which is about nine miles long and 1 mile wide requires a lot of support in order to keep it open and maintained for its thousands of day visitors and campers each year.  If you have a heart for Cayo Costa and want to directly support only that park, please visit our steering committee, Friends of Cayo Costa, whose fundraising efforts remain with this park.  BIPS funds support all four of our affiliated State Parks and the Port Boca Grande Lighthouse and Museum.

Don’t forget to visit our camp store near the park entrance.  This store offers everything from camping supplies – firewood, ice and canned goods to souvenir t-shirts and books.  For more information on what the camp store carries please call the store at 239-220-1722 or email
